Try on a 15400 or a 15510 if possible - overall size is the same, but they will visually feel different due to the dial configurations.
Maybe a smooth bezel/oyster combo with a sportier look would have worked better in 41mm, but the DJ41 looked way too big on my 7" wrist. and I regularly wear 44mm watches. I have the new 41mm Sub, and while I guess it's technically a mm bigger than the previous model, the way they tapered the lugs makes it wear much better than the previous version.
