But for pure comfort, the 39mm Explorer wins hands down. DeepSea for us small wrist’ers. I love the newer version DS, as the lug to lug shrunk a bit, and bracelet is more proportional. I have a 6.75 wrist, but I think a lot more goes into it. Wrist shape, forearms , etc.. Have to look in mirror . This is probably the only Rolex I'll ever own but I think it's pretty much the ideal watch for a small wrist. The blue dial is perfect, and the 3-6-9 explorer layout is just icing on the cake.
Just from a fit perspective, the Explorer and the YM 37 look the best on your wrist. The YM is going to be closest to the Submariner, so that’s probably the way to go. If you really love the Sub and it’s something you will always want, fuck it and just get the Submariner. I am considering to acquire a Rolex Explorer 1, but after watching tons of reviews on the 214270 (39mm) version and the new 124270 with 36mm I am more confused than ever. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and would love to see some pictures of the watch on the wrist of someone with actually the same exact wrist size. Your wrist size accommodates the Explorer well within reasonable means. I have owned a neo vintage 14270 Explorer as well as the 39mm (which I felt was larger than the original design and lacked the “style” of the 36mm), and finally my current Explorer, a 2021 era 124270 36mm on my 7.25” wrist.
