The auction has a couple of pictures of the movement and caliber ref (562). Do some google searches and see if you can find a similar watch and compare what you see. I am not at all familiar with this watch/ref but to my eye the cross hair going through the 'M' of AUTOMATIC looks clumsy (and the M of Seamaster, for that matter).

The Omega Planet Ocean, this first generation, at 42mm, is truly an under appreciated, and under valued watch. It is a great watch that is not over bearing, has great looks, wears nicely, and is both sporty and can be somewhat dressy as well should you wish so.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean checks all the right boxes both as an everyday sporty luxury watch, as well as a robust diving instrument. In fact, it’s so beloved for its design, versatility, and usability, it's surprising to think that the fan-favorite Planet Ocean collection has only existed for just over a dozen years.

As you can see, this new clasp has seen a bit of desk diving and other action over the pas year. The watch itself is a beauty. I love how the AR makes the crystal disappear under most lighting conditions. The dial is gorgeous: matte textured, applied indices with tons of lume, and just a small hint of orange.
Planet Ocean have always been one of the most underrated watch in Omega's lineup. It is mostly overshadowed by it's older brother (because it was released first), the Seamaster, and it's famous cousin that went to the moon - The Speedmaster. The lug width on this 39.5 mm watch is 19 mm. This is such an awkward measurement, but it’s not a deal-breaker because nowadays there are quite a few aftermarket options, and even Omega offers a good selection of very well . Planet ocean is one heck of a watch and a serious movement inside. I have had my 42 for awhile and love it. While the weight IS substantial, you will get used to it with a well fitted bracelet.
